Paintings
Here's a selection of some of my paintings. I work predominately in oil but I occasionally stray into other Media. I'd say my paintings have quite a graphic quality as I enjoy playing with dramatic highlight and shade, and how it alters the shape and form of the face. I typically don't paint eyes because I enjoy the idea of taking away some of the most identifiable features, casting a mysterious and dystopian feel across the rest of the face.

(Working Title)
This is an ongoing project That's a response to a Wobbly state of mind during the various National Lockdowns here in the UK. This project began as a I was becoming frustrated and dejected at other projects I was trying to accomplish at the time, and nothing appeared to be going right. As a result, I binned those projects and went back to basics, instead channeling the swarm of emotions (or lack of) I was feeling about the state of my work and the world, into these paintings.

This Piece was painted in response to a abstract soundscape created trying to encapsulate an excerpt from Irvine Welsh's novel Ecstasy.

One Night In Presteigne
Here's a small selection of some pages of a short narrative I did. Based on a ghost story experienced first hand by myself and my Mum one night, years ago in Presteigne.

Oooh What A Lovely Jacket!
I was curious about expanding the marketability of my work, and something I've always loved is hand-painted clothing. I love how they have such a strong visual identity, and allow the wearer to stand out from the crowd. So thought I'd have a crack at it myself. Both jackets were designed for two different people, so I wanted to portray their individual personalities within the paintings to make the garment feel more personal to the person wearing it.
